Thompson Says Incumbent Is Out of Touch

Thompson is challenging incumbent Republican Sen. J.D. Alexander of Lake Wales for state Senate District 17 in the Nov. 4 general election. Thompson wants to blunt the long family history and agricultural ties that have been an advantage to Alexander since he was first elected to the Senate without opposition in 2002.
